Beginning as an independent club in 1916, the Black Sox of Baltimore honed their skills throughout the late teens and early 20s before becoming a highlight of Baltimore’s storied baseball history. The Black Sox were charter members of the Eastern Colored League in 1923 and later joined the American Negro League in 1929. A “Million Dollar Infield” consisting of Frank Warfield, Oliver Marcelle, and Dick Lundy led the team to a 53-29 record securing their first pennant in franchise history. Despite their success, the team returned to independent status before entering official league play again in the 1930s with the East-West League.
Our vintage inspired classic custom crafted raglan tees represent the logos and rich history of the great negro and latin baseball leagues, barnstorming baseball teams, federal leagues and Japanese baseball.
