Our vintage inspired classic custom crafted trucker style meshback snapbacks represent the logos and rich history of the great negro and latin baseball leagues, barnstorming baseball teams, federal leagues and Japanese baseball.
The independent X Giants are considered one of the most critical teams in early baseball history. Composed of defectors from the Cuban Giants, the club became a dominant force during the turn of the century. Led by a young Rube Foster, the X Giants won the Colored World Championships in 1903 and became the first African-American club to play in Cuba. The franchise was a founding member of the National Association of Colored Baseball Clubs of the United States and Cuba in 1906. This excursion opened the door for African-American players to showcase their skills throughout the Caribbean. After defeating the Brooklyn Dodgers, the X Giants became the first black ball club to beat a Major League team. Notable players include Rube Foster, John Henry “Pop” Lloyd, Dan McClellan, Bobby Winston, Harry Buckner, and Grant “Home Run” Johnson.
