Our vintage inspired classic custom crafted trucker style meshback  snapbacks represent the logos and rich history of the great negro and latin baseball leagues, barnstorming baseball teams, federal leagues and Japanese baseball.

Born under the leadership of Olympic great Jesse Owens and Harlem Globetrotter’s owner Abe Saperstein, the West Coast Negro Baseball Association sought to capitalize on African-American immigration to west coast cities. The Oakland Larks were the association’s most successful franchise, often playing for sold-out crowds. However, the consistent strength of Oakland’s ticket sales was not shared throughout the league, with erratic attendance for other teams. Ultimately, the league could not sustain the financial hardships of finicky ticket sales and failed midway through its inaugural season in 1946. The Larks would successfully barnstorm as an independent team for years to come. Notable players include the young pitcher Lionel Wilson, who would become Oakland’s first African-American mayor, and future pitching star Marion “Sugar” Cain.
